Privacy Policy

EFFECTIVE JULY 27, 2026 · LAST UPDATED JULY 27, 2026

1. Who we are

Tawil Technologies LLC ("Tawil Tech," "we," "us," or the "Company") operates a property management and accounting platform (the "Platform"). Property management companies (our customers) use the Platform to manage properties, leases, accounting, maintenance, and payments. Tenants and property owners use the Platform through the tenant portal and related features made available by their property manager. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

When we process tenant and owner data on behalf of a property management company, that company is the data controller of its records and we act as its service provider. This policy describes our practices in both capacities.

3. Bank account connections (Plaid)

The Platform uses Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect bank accounts and retrieve financial data such as balances and transactions. When you link a bank account through Plaid, you provide your credentials directly to Plaid — we never see or store your online banking username or password. By using the bank-connection feature, you grant us and Plaid the right to collect and process your financial data as described in this policy and in Plaid's End User Privacy Policy, which governs Plaid's handling of your information. You can disconnect a linked bank account at any time from within the Platform, which ends further data collection from that account.

4. How we use information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers necessary to operate the Platform, each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us:

6. Consent

We collect and process your information with your consent, which you provide when you create or activate your account and accept this policy, when you link a bank account through Plaid's consent flow, when you authorize a payment, and when you sign documents electronically. You may withdraw consent for optional features (such as a linked bank account) at any time without affecting core service functionality required by your lease or management relationship.

7. Data retention and deletion

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: financial and lease records are kept for the duration of the customer relationship plus seven years to meet accounting and tax obligations; Plaid-derived data is kept only as long as the bank connection is active and needed for reconciliation, and is deleted when the connection is removed; and account data is deleted within 60 days of a verified deletion request or contract termination, subject to legal retention requirements.

8. Security

We protect personal information with industry-standard measures, including TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest for sensitive fields, hashed passwords, role-based access controls, and logging and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; we maintain an incident response process and will notify affected users and partners of a breach as required by law.

9. Your rights and choices

10. Children

The Platform is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
